Trustee: Victor (Cafeto)
Small Business Owner
South San Francisco, CA
Why are you interested in becoming a Trustee?
I have received a loan on Kiva Zip and I want to give the same opportunity to others who would also benefit from it.
How will you determine whether or not the business plans of the Borrower(s) you endorse are sound?
I will spend some time meeting with the borrowers I endorse, and reviewing their financial opportunities.
How will you know whether the Borrower(s) you endorse will have the character to repay a loan?
I will only endorse borrowers that I know very well (e.g. for several years). This will really enable me to make a strong assessment of their character.
Please describe what type of business, financial, technical or other support you plan on providing to the Borrower(s) you endorse:
I will continue to provide friendship and support to the borrowers I endorse for the duration of their loans, and continuing afterwards.
How will you establish whether the Borrower(s) you endorse are in debt, or have a history of debt? How will what you find affect your endorsement of their loan application?
I will ask them about their financial status and existing debts. I will trust what they tell me.
