Personal Story

I spent half a decade in Africa conducting human needs projects. The largest project was refugee work for people fleeing the civil war in Mozambique. My passion for feeding the hungry and the malnourished grew out of this experience. After returning to the US, I decided something needed to be done to address the issue of hunger and malnourishment throughout the world.

Working with a group of international scientists for several years, we developed a formula that when embedded in food for children was shown to not only feed hungry children but reverse the ill effects of malnourishment.

For the past four years we have worked on this formula and recently produced it on a small scale in South Africa. We tested the product and found it to effectively address the needs of hunger and malnourishment.

My dream now is to produce this product for distribution to malnourished children all over the world as well as here in the United States

Business Description

We created the Way to Grow nourishing cookie to be distributed to malnourished children and nursing mothers. Our special formula which is embedded in our cookie has been shown to reverse the ill effects of malnourishment. We have been distributing our product on a limited basis in South Africa. However we realize that malnourishment is a problem in the United States as well.

Children who consume the Way to Grow bar for a month will have increased cognition, an enhanced immune system, and will be back on the path toward normal physical growth. We are looking to produce our food on a large scale in order to address the millions of children throughout the world who go to bed hungry and grow up physically and mentally stunted.

What is the purpose of this loan?

To produce our first run of cookies here in the US. (approximately 750 to 1000 pounds)

This cookie has been proven to stimulate growth, improve bone density, and provide nutrient rich calories to children. This product is being bought and distributed through NGO's in the developing world. Paying back the loan would come from proceeds of his sales to NGO's, which he already has relationships established.
