Personal Story

I was born in the Eastern Province of Kenya, in a town called Kitui. Growing up, my parents were unable to pay for my school fees, and I just remember hoping that one day God would provide for me.

I went to school until Form 2 before getting married. Soon after, God told my husband and I to go to Malindi, where we became preachers. We have a school in Malindi that serves needy children from class 1 to 6.

On the side, I produce Moringa tea leaves.

Personal Update - Apr 4, 2013

Improved my business stock. My business improved and grew big, meanwhile my children lifestyle improved too.

Business Description

I buy Moringa leaves from farmers and keep it in a greenhouse to dry. I keep it in a greenhouse for three days. Then I send it to Nairobi so that Botanic Treasures can sell it.

I buy for 1 sack 250 Ksh. I can gain 3 KG or more than that from one sack. I sell 1 KG for 300 Ksh each. I buy Moringa seeds from farmers for 60 Ksh per KG, and sell each KG for 150 Ksh.

My biggest challenge is money. I don't have enough to buy Moringa from farmers.

Business Update - Apr 4, 2013

It improved my business greatly.

Her business involves supplying me with Moringa semi-processed leaves and fruits which she buys from other farmers then she supplies me.Unlike other loans this loan will enable her to grow steadily without the impediment of the high interests which stagnate meaningful growth. She is very good at her work and I do not forsee any difficulty - unless of course there's a natural calamity.
